Sculpting hair

Posted in Custom Workstation

Hi, so I'm trying to sculpt some long hair, and I'm having trouble deciding on what material to use. Some have recommended Green Stuff, and others say Procreate putty. So I'm asking, what's the best stuff to use, that's not too brittle, so I can make some rad wavy hair without compromising head articulation. I've used aves for hair in the past, but only for short hairdos. It's way to brittle for what I had in mind.

I'd like more info too, all I read are snips here and there but no one gives an in-depth explanation of what they do, how they do it, what they're using, what are the properties of the clay, etc.

I've never had problem with apoxie sculpt being brittle, but you can try sculpting it on top of a makeshift armature on the head if the hair is that big/long/skinny.
