hate the new site setup! why screw up a good thing?

Figure search doesn't work. It keeps saying I need to be logged in. I think you missed a check somewhere. Of course, why I would need to be logged in at all..

It's fixed. Yes, you do have to be logged in to perform searches.

Working now. Wasn't like 2 hours ago.

Are we no longer allowed a list of customizers that we follow? I can't find that list anymore, and I'm not getting notifications of their new work.

I have to say I absolutely hate the new site layout and am tempted to no longer submit my work in the future. I don't want to get that extreme, but this site just isn't as user friendly as it used to be and I don't find it as cosmetically pleasing as it once was.

Please change the format to the way it used to be, the site was perfect and without flaw. Now, it kinda feels like wearing a pair of khakis. Hard to look at, and you're too afraid to move yourself from one place to another.

I don't really understand the new setup, especially with the forum. It doesn't even look like a standard forum anymore.

I, personally, like to view 3.75 scale customs through the search function. Since the redesign, I'm unable to look at any other than the latest 20. When I try to go to the next page... "Sorry, no customs where found"

BTW, not my spelling error. The message is a copy/paste job. It is word for word, misspelled "were" and all.

I'm working on some of these issues now. What text did you enter exactly to search for the customs, and I'll make sure it gets fixed?

I can't navigate the new layout. I come Here to look at customs and can not find that anymore. Can't you do like eBay and give the option to look at the classic layout? If not, I am afraid I won't be visiting much.

Also, a lot of the time when I go to write a new comment on a figure it goes to a blank screen after and doesn't input my comment. So I have been, copy/pasting my comment elsewhere so I can come back later and try again.
It seems any time that I cannot add a smily face to the commment is when it will error out. Hope that helps.

I am with the "not as easy to use as it once was".
I don't look at ALL the figure pages so scrolling through a bunch of comments and having to click next page every ten was a nightmare. I stopped coming here for a few days when I just didn't want to deal with the maze of trying to find regular stuff.
Also,there are several links that don't work for me until I click on something else first.

Can you tell me specifically what links aren't working? What device are you using to access the website?

In the morning when I check the site (internet explorer) I have to click on Forums, or Account, before it lets me click Features at the top. I have switched to Google Chrome and it is working fine, seems it might have just been a problem with explorer.

Great work on the fixes by the way, things are looking and working a lot cooler now with the adjustments. Thank you.

Hey guys , just thought I would also add that the site is not as easy to use as it once was...I don't know why you messed it up ?
I loved how easy it was to view the customs on one page - much clearer but that's changed, looks all jumbled up.
loved how you could check out customs on custom search - (now this feature has gone !!!) , you can only check it out if you log on.....

once in custom search , when you view a custom , you can't back page ....

you can't view pictures from google anymore , before if I liked a custom on google images and it was from this site, all you had to do was click on it and you can enjoy it ....but now it says you can't & you must log on......Error Code: 404

we want this beautiful art to be seen & celebrated not hidden away .

and lastly ....this site was once far better than all other ones for its easy to use approach , but now you have messed it up and its just like all the other sites.

who was the brain box behind these decisions ?

Search function working fine, 80% of the time Im on mobile devices.
Mainly ipad 2, tried it on ipad 3, and two cellphones samsung galaxy and iphone 5.
Works great. Congratulations captain..

I like the new setup, just have to get used to it. Saw the search function not working, but asumed it was an issue to be solved.
It Works very well on mobiles aswell.
I like the comment box available right below, of the customs. it simplifies the post a comment button and waiting for the next window to open.

Only thing I don't like. New homepage shows way too much text, and very few pictures. Should have less text and doublé column like before.

And no, the serach option is working fine, only saw it down for one day.

Hooray... Somebody noticed some of the improvements. Yes - There is now mobile support so you can more easily use your cell phones and tablets to visit the website. The old website had zero support for that. Yes - Commenting should be much easier without all the page loading and navigating. It's all inline on the same page now.

Are you saying the search feature is still broken for you? It should be fixed. If it's not working, are you on the mobile version of the website and what device are you using (ie cell phone)?

@redmist. In fairness to Phin and others, the site now is significantly better than it was a couple of days ago when the change first went live. Major props to Captain Coder and the other admins for listening to the complaints (which imo where sometimes a little rude) and making changes to fix some issues. That being said, I still think there are a couple of additional tweaks they can make (two columns of customs on custom pages, bigger pics and smaller words), but nothing major.

Well, one of the key things that make this site great; besides the dark background, which I think its benefit has been taken for granted for too long - its actually very user friendly and makes everything POP that much more, imo, but the other great thing, would be to never-lose-the-search-engine. I know it eats up a lot of data but one of the great strengths of the site has always been the ability to be able to type in a character and pull up the entire library of customs for that one being - THAT is excellent - don't ever lose that!
Sorry if I personally have seemed rude. I just love the site. I am trying to play around more and more here. Thanx for your ear.

@Phin. For what its worth, my rude comment was not aimed at you. I agree seach function is key, and is up and running again.

Maybe it's too soon 4 me 2 comment as I've only been on the updated site less than 10 mins, but while the format takes some getting used to,(bigger pics = less customs on custom page) I have no complaints. You guys run this site in spectacular fashion!

Wow, this is super disappointing. I mean I've been a long time Fwoosher but I've always praised this site for it's custom format - I had always considered it to be the best site for custom perusal! Yeah - the best one. That's why it pains me to say that this is not a matter of getting used to a new format - this format blows -- I REALLY hate it. I wanna like it here but its actually driving me away. Keep an eye on your traffic, because I think you are doing yourselves a massive disservice.

I'm having difficulties finding the custom brackets. I had Terminator, Walking Dead and Resident Evil customs bookmarked and all of those links are broken. How do I go about finding them again?

Hmm.... since the Main site is separate from the forums... you could purchase vBulletin or another Forum type software and utilize that instead of whatever this is (I didn't view source or bother to check, its good for what you've done with it yourself honestly so props on that). I like the new update yet noticed that others don't, remember folks no one likes change (typically, as the saying goes) however I noticed that most of the features you're looking for are under the "Features" and/or "Account" links in the new navigation bar design up top, then once some of those pages load the left column nav your used to returns .

I am a rare poster, but frequent visitor. WHy even mess with the site...it was wonderful for so long...

More pics, less words please...just like before (30 customs per page)....heck, at the point I'd even take 20 pics per page if the pics are larger...and less words.

Couldn't agree more. It's supposed to be figurerealm not wordrealm. Too much information now on screen, very unfriendly to the eye.

Come figurerealm, this is really bad ya. Why are you messing up the site. Ya'll even took out the comment section, lol. So I decided to go through the search and typed in Superman and I keep getting a blank page. This is really bad, please go back to the original way, stop with the Apple Update Mentality and keep this user friendly how it was.

Also, its too many words, ya'll definitely are taking away to the aspect of viewers being able to actually view the figures, Like before, you see the figures, click on the picture and then you can read the recipe or bio. The recipe and bio should not be that bold on ya'll home page. Come on figurerealm, I've been a long time supporter of this website, please fix this!

The comment section is back. From the Desktop version of the site, it's "Comments" under the "Account" in the menu.

The search should also be fixed.
