New neck peg

So a month or so ago I commissioned some heads from the dark knight movie masters line to be shrunk down so I could make some half decent 3.75" dark knight figures to fit better alongside the upcoming dc multiverse line. The shrunken versions are designed to go on the standard MU buck, which is good... but in the case of Joker I need to mod the body to use a Marvel U style neck joint rather than the swivel from the awful Mattel release.

Anyone have any suggestions for adding the new peg? my preference is to use something akin to the magnet ball joint in the tutorial, as I'd prefer not to have to purchase a new Marvel U figure just to cut off the neck peg.
