My Batwoman DCUC WIP

Posted in Custom Workstation

My goal is to make a DCUC-style Batwoman as close to the New 52 JH Williams III art look as possible.

I started with this Batgirl as a base:

This is what I have done so far:

The cape is just a mock-up. I plan to modify this Greg Capullo Batman cape to use on the final product:

She's headless because I haven't found a close enough head to use. I also need to find a belt that looks somewhat close to this:

Any comments/suggestions/advice?
Also, I'm new here. Where do people trade fodder? Is that something that happens?

The idea is to slowly sand down the areas that are rubbing together to make a gap so it doesn't rub any more. Sealer also helps in preventing it as well.

Also I'm dying for advice on preventing joint paint rub. I read the FAQ on here, but I'm not quite getting it.

You're completely right. I think I will take that advice. I hate seeing the brush strokes. Good thing that cape is just a mockup. Good practice for the final, way cooler one.

I know you are passionate about this project, so I am hoping you get the best outcome. One thing I am going to critique is thin your paints and layer slowly. I can see brush strokes in your cape pic. It will take you longer to get the custom done but you will be happier with the outcome.
