Grenadier Beast Rider
Gears of War (Neca) - Series 5
Rated 5.00 stars by King Kaiju
They are the trainers and the commanders of the Locust Hoards viscious monsters. From the lowly Blood Mounts to the terrifing Brumak these troops are a commanding force on the battlefield. The Rider comes in a clamshell case typical for anything NECA releases. The paper inserts graphics are actually taken from the cover of Gears 2. The back has a short bio for them along with pictures of other figures for the line. There's also a few shots of the toy in front of some backgrounds from the game. The sculpt is absolutly beautiful. Every tiny detail has been sculpted in. From every scale on his skin to the tiniest marking on his armor. His chest armor is a seperate piece added over him. The same to be said for his bracers which are glued in place. The only problem I have is his hands. They...[See More]
Skinner
Ghost Rider (Toy Biz) - Series 1
Rated 1.50 stars by King Kaiju
Skinner is one of several demonic children of Lilith. He premired in issue #3 of Spirits of Vengance. He can make his own bones grow outward to use as a weapon. Now your up to speed to what I know about him. He comes on the same blister card as the rest of the line. It shows some good art of ol flame head looking right ticked. The back features a look at other figures in wave 1 and several vehicles. There is also some info and a picture of Skinner and info on how to use his action feature. Skinner is sculpted in a permanant flex in both arms. He has a scowl on his face and several bones growing out of his body. He also is wearing combat boots and a green wrap on his arm. I cann't tell if certain parts were molded in color or painted that way. I can tell that his hands are painted gray,...[See More]
40th Anniversary 9-Pack
Godzilla - Godzilla Wars (Trendmasters) - Collectible Figures
Rated 5.00 stars by King Kaiju
This is perhaps one of the best pieces in the Trendmaster's line. For at the moment the low low price of $20 you got nine different monsters in one box. The box was black with white dots on it to represent stars in space. There was also the Godzilla Wars logo which included pictures of Godzilla and Space Godzilla along with the title. The back had pictures and information on the monsters sold in the pack. The pack in cludes the monster king Godzilla in his supercharged form, Anguirus G's trusted ally, the inner stellar terror Space Godzilla, G-Forces mechs Mecha-Godzilla and M.O.G.E.R.A. and Mecha-Ghidorah, Battra the black moth, Gigan the cyborg, and Biolantte the plant monster. The figures were in the four inch scale so they look identical to there six inch cousins. This is a good...[See More]
Kilokhan
Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad (Playmates) - Basic Series
Rated 2.00 stars by King Kaiju
Kilokhan is a military A.I. experiment thats gotten far to big for his britches. Know with the assistance of Malcolm Frink to create Mega Virus Monsters to destroy the world. Luckly for us Servo and the Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad are here to save the day. The figure comes on a standard card and bubble package. The card has a picture of the logo and Servo. The is some text about who Kilokhan is, the plot of the show, and the rest of the figures in the line. The figure has a decent likeness of the character. Though all we ever really get to see of him is his head and sholders. In the show Kilos hands are coverd with cloth not gloves or feet. Paint is good though the figure is molded from black plastic. So there is barley and paint just his eyes and several dots on his face. This...[See More]
Hock
Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad (Playmates) - Basic Series
Rated 3.50 stars by King Kaiju
Hock was one of many Megaviruses to show in this strange show. I really don't know much of a backstory for him seeing as how I never actually saw the episode with him in it. The figure is terrifictly sculpted with all the scales, plates, cracks, bumps, and acratches in his blades. He looks just like as if the rubber suited creature from the show just leapt of the tv screen. I also thought I should state that Hocks torso is completly hollow. He's molded in a dark grey plastic with a few paint applications on his. He has seafoam green painted on his front. Red for his beady little eyes. A brownish color for his toe nails. Black on to arm bands he for some reason is wearing. And a silvery paint for his balded nose, arm blades, and tail cluddle. Articulation was not a strong suit for this...[See More]
Batman (Total Armor)
Batman - Mask of the Phantasm (Kenner) - Basic Series
Rated 5.00 stars by King Kaiju
This is to this day my favorite Batman figure. First off because he was one of my first and the first one I remember getting. Second off because he's just so awesome. He comes packed on the same MotP card as the rest of the line. The only difference in being is that the card has a specific picture of the figure in question. The figure is essentially the exact same Batman Kenner had produced and churned out several variations of in the Animated series line. The only difference is that this one has a metallic purple paint job. It actually looks very good in person. This figure has all the articulation you'd expect from the Batman brand. Five points all cut joints at the neck, shoulders, and hips. Though not much and I would have liked some elbows and knee joints this is still just fine....[See More]
Warstar
X-Men (Toy Biz) - Phoenix Saga
Rated 5.00 stars by King Kaiju
God I loved this figure. Sadly with this wave of figures Toybiz abandoned the personalized cards. Instead we just get a big picture of Wolverine. Warstar is beautifully sculpted with plenty of metal like details all over his body. He isequally as painted with metallic green and yellow for his eye. Though it says attack army on the card he has only one solid green plastic robot. His back slides open and you can place the little bugger in. There is a lever on his back to raise and lower the little robot. Each figure comes packed with a randomly packed in trading cards. I can't remember what card he came with but he came with one. This figure is great and you don't have to know the character to enjoy him. I sure didn't. He makes a great robot for any game or display....[See More]
Wile E. Coyote
Looney Tunes (Tyco) - Basic Series
Rated 3.50 stars by King Kaiju
For unkown reasons he wants that Roadrunner. Wile is only about 4 inches tall counting his ears so he'll fit in with your ninja turtles. He looks a lot like the cartoon version. Paint is just on his stomach, face, eyes, and ears. He has only four points of articulation. I don't think a figure has to have like 30 plus joints but come on only 4. They are cut joints at the neck, sholders, and waist. His only accessorie is a mallet gun that when you hit the button in theory it should hit his knee. In truth the size of his cheeks make that impossible. Honestly I want to love this figure but lack of joints and a poorly executed action feature just bring him down....[See More]
Vengeance
Ghost Rider (Toy Biz) - Series 1
Rated 5.00 stars by King Kaiju
Micheal Badalinos hatred for Ghost Rider and his desire to stop him drove him to the brink. So he made a deal with the devil and became Vengance. Vengance is wonderfully sculpted with his spikes and fangs. His head is molded in purple plastic. His jackets a dark grey as are his gloves and boots, his pants are a purplish color and his under shirt is a hot pink. His fangs along with the bones wraped around his wrists are painted to glow in the dark. To recreate his firey head he has a layer of red and orange plastic. He has the same articulation as the rest. Just read one of the other reviews to get the stats. His action feature is to clamp other figures with his pincer ribs with a large button on his back. He also has the ling standard flame glow action. He includes two extras. A bone...[See More]
Ghost Rider II
Ghost Rider (Toy Biz) - Series 1
Rated 5.00 stars by King Kaiju
I already explained how Danny became Ghost Rider so I will not mention it here. Ghost Rider two starts out as Dan Ketch. He's well sculpted thogh I don't believe his hair was as currly in the comic. He's painted with a teal jacket, boots, and gloves and his jeans are still grey. He has the same means to recreate his firey head. He has the standard articulation of the time plus some. He has cut joints at the neck, sholders, and gloves. He has joints at the elbows and knees, and the same ball like joints as the other Ghost Rider. This figure includes accessories that turn Danny into Ghost Rider. He includes four spiked rings to place on his arms and legs, and a head piece that also sports a cut joint neck. Like the rest of the line he comes with a mini comic, he comes with #1. Though...[See More]
