What material did you use for the wings?
I used styrene. I drew the wings on paper then traced that onto styrene. I curved the styrene very carefully before cutting it out, then used a hobby knife to cut the wings carefully and scored along the feather lines. I then cut the different sections of the wings and layered them on top to give it some depth before attaching it to removable backpack.

Wow... a Pitt and Monkey man combo? That's so Awesome! Amazing details on this, great work!
Thanks! Well, more a combo of random Pitt and Monkeyman parts that were never going to find their brothers and make the BAFs they were meant to be. I knew that giant fodder would find a use some day.

Dammmnnnnn. Amazing custom, I can only image it standing 16 inch tall.
All the work, styles and material used sounds amazing.
Congratsn on it.
Thanks! It barely fits on the shelf, but he's certainly a talking point even for people who aren't into figures. Size does matter it seems.

How does the Sugru compare to other sculpting stuff we commonly use, like Apoxie Sculpt or Sculpey? Does it hold details? What's the consistency?

Also, are you enjoying what a pain in the arse it is to clean the airbrush after every use? lol
Thanks, doc. Sugru is much the same in consitency as most epoxies I think, but it's a little tackier. You get about 30 mins to an hour working time with it then it starts to resist shaping, but during that time you can sculpt it pretty much like you would anything else. Colour is the main issue. It shrugs off paint so you have to buy different colours and mix them together to get your desired colour. Tricky, and expensive.

I have to admit, I'm not sold on an airbrush yet and have total respect for guys who put up with all the crap that's involved in getting a gradiated finish.

Nice custom. But the number of the spider arms are wrong. He's supposed to have 3 spider arms. But still great custom.
You should read the description as well as look at the pictures. This figure can have the 3 legs like Peter Parker used, or 4 like the Spiders in the Initiative used.

Dude, you are a bad @$$. But I have to warn you! I am making one and I am gonna have to give you credit for the shalob legs if I don't make my own! What head did you use? You take great photos but could we get on ( here or fb) that's well lit? I would love to see the rest of the body and the seam work on the parts. As well as his back.
Thanks. I look forward to seeing more versions of this character as he appears more in comics into the coming months. I think his character design might continue to evolve so it'll be interesting to see.
As noted in the description, I used an ASM Lizard figure for the head. You can check him out on YouTube and see full body shots both front and back there. You will also see WIP photos of him on my timeline on Facebook. You can see all the parts, seams and sculpting in them.
The Shelob legs were a no-brainer for me after my Void custom, but I can't take credit for using them first on this guy. Glennwebman69 was there before me.

One simple question what did you use to make his multi gun did you cast the parts yourself
I just cut up some guns that were lying around. No casting involved. To my memory I used guns from ML Bishop, a Resistance Chimaera figure, LCBH Super Patriot and some other guys.

sweetspottedcow holy carp man that is too freakin cool! how did you get the legs to swap out like that?so cool, what a great display piece
Thanks, mate. I had to crack the pelvis and chest open and cut off the discs that were holding the arm and leg in there. This made nice posts on the arm and leg that were just the right size for a SOTA SF Ken figure's wrist sockets.
I replaced the Punisher sockets with Ken sockets and that was it.

Customs: Bastion by warrack -
Monday, January 2, 2012
Looks pretty amazing but where did the design come from? Is this an original design? Is it part of something bigger or was this just made for customizing purposes?
The design is taken from the Second Coming story. The figure is part of my Fallen Genosha project which you can see on here. The project is an homage to the Sentinels and their destruction of Genosha. Bastion wasn't involved directly in that story, but seeing as he's the ultimate evolution of Sentinel technology, I thought it was a good chance to make perhaps my most long awaited custom.

Thanks guys. Yeah, the wings are cut from styrene. This was the first time I'd used the material. A great learning experience.
The wings articulate at the back using revoltech joints. These are ratcheted so can support the weight of the wings, but they're also delicate enough to not look hideously oversized.
You can do a Youtube search for me 'warrack fallen genosha' to see more detail on these figures.

Thanks again.
