Hi all! It's been a long time coming, but here is the Soul of Cinder from Dark Souls 3. This guy was a blast to make, even though he took the better part of a year. After playing through the game, I instantly fell in love with the Soul of Cinder's armor and knew I had to make a figure that would do justice to such an amazing design.

This guy uses the Black Series Force Awakens Kylo Ren as a base body, LOTS of black Milliput, and that is pretty much it. The figure was completely sanded down and sculpted over 100%. The Kylo figure had the torso articulation that I was looking for, as it gave the figure a natural break where the torso armor is, and a figure with an ab crunch was out of the question. I had to build up this figure in sections to give it a realistic look, starting with the chain mail, then the segmented/plate armor, grieves & vambraces, and so on. The left shoulder's metal armor and the right shoulder's leather armor are free floating, so the can get out of the way when I want to move the arms. The belt is real leather and the cape and skirt are real fabric (with internal wires for posing), all heavily weathered. The sword and scabbard came from a Funko John Snow, and the knife and scabbard came from a Mcfarlane Ezio. I decided not to go with the glowing 'cinder' effects on the paint job as I felt it would look tacky and I wouldn't be able to achieve that dynamic glowing effect that you see in the game. All in all I am happy with how he turned out, though it may be a while before I tackle another 100% resculpt!

...and no coiled sword for this guy...that would be madness to sculpt.
