This is a kitbash concept of my take on the character Sigurd, also known as Siegfried in some traditions. He is a legendary hero from Norse mythology, renowned for slaying the dragon Fafnir and taking possession of the dragon's cursed treasure. I made this figure by throwing together items from several of my G.I. Joe Classified and Marvel Legends 6 inch figures. The body of the figure is Thor, Herald of Galactus. Some of the other stuff that came from Marvel Legends includes Black Panther Okoye's spear, which I made slightly longer by attaching one half of Daredevil's bo-staff from Marvel Knights at the end of the spear. His shield is actually Spider-Man's enemy, Jack-O-Lantern's hovering platform. It was the only thing I could find that even vaguely resembles a shield in the viking style. I added a rubber straw over the pegs that Jack-O-Lantern stands on and added some blu-tack to Thor's hand so he may hold the shield properly. As for the stuff that came from my G.I. Joe Classified figures. These include the helmet, which is from Metal-Head Deluxe. The pendant around his neck came from Profit Director Destro. His axe came from Mad Marauders Barbecue, and it fits well inside the sling area that carried Mjolnir. As for his belt, it came from a Python Crimson Guard, but I swapped the knife with one from a regular Crimson Guard because I didn't like the hilt's red coloring. The belt was too small for Thor's waste so I cut the strap and stuck it onto the waist using blu-tack. Unfortunately the blu-tack is quite visible. Finally, the sword he carries comes from a recently released Darklon figure. The sword's scabbard has a peg that fits into the little hole of Crimson Guard's belt, which was originally for its saber. This peg is a little longer so the sword and its scabbard sticks out a little. Please wait... |
