Wotan is an immortal master of ancient sorcery, who can fly and travel through dimensions and can also project powerful mystical bolts. He is the arch enemy of Nabu and Doctor Fate. Wotan's first appearance was in the Golden Age of comics in More Fun Comics #55 created by Howard Sherman and Gardner Fox. His name is derived from the Germanic spelling of the god Woden/Odin from Germanic and Norse mythology.
