Magnus is the commander of Autobot City on Earth. Magnus leads with extensive military know how and experience. Although given a leading title, Magnus feels best suited being a grunt, he is a soldier first and foremost and prefers the frontline rather than the backlines of combat. Magnus is much like Prime in the fact that he would gladly give up his own life in protection of another.

Megatron is not an evil being by any account, but rather just a being who knows what his destiny is and grasp it. He believes in peace but not in the conventional means, he feels that peace can be achieved thru tyranny. Having the cosmos under Decepticon rule would mean no war or fighting just everyone in service to him. Megatron leads his forces with an iron fist and does not tolerate failure as many of his fellow Decepticons have become aware of first hand.
