Sable debuted in the WWF at WrestleMania XII as a valet for Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Marc Mero witnessed Helmsley mistreating Sable and took her on as his manager. Over the next year, Sable often found herself at the forefront of Mero's feuds, with various WWF personalities vying for her attention. In early 1997, Mero suffered an injury that took him off television, but Sable remained a prominent figure in WWF programming. Mero returned later that year with a much darker, more jealous persona. Despite his misogynistic and demeaning behavior towards Sable, they continued to be aligned. As tensions mounted, Sable began to step into the ring herself, though her in-ring abilities were often criticized. This dynamic led to a climactic match at WrestleMania XIV, where Sable and Mero teamed up to defeat Luna and TAFKA Goldust.

The tension between Sable and Mero reached its peak, and their relationship ultimately fractured. They faced each other at Over the Edge 1998, where Mero emerged victorious. Following their split, Sable began a feud with Jacqueline, Mero's new valet, and the two battled over the WWF Women's Championship. Sable won the title at Survivor Series 1998, moving on from Mero and Jacqueline.

After battling Luna again at the Royal Rumble, Sable had to deal with a fan-turned-stalker named Tori. Despite her new rival's disturbing behavior, Sable lost sympathy from WWF fans as her attitude shifted to that of a Hollywood big shot. Sable eventually lost her title to Debra and then disappeared from television.
