If you've seen my comments about the Apollo figure, then you already know how great I think these Joyride Studios figures are. I really do love them, but there is one thing about these Cylon figures that isn't so great though. On both of the Cylon figures (commander and warrior), the big red dot for the eye really could have been done better. It isn't so terrible that you'd want to pass on this set, it just isn't as good as it could have been. This and the fact that the series one (silver cylon warrior) doesn't have a stand, make this figure the weakest of the set. The figure does stand on it's own, but is prone to falling over if ever so slightly bumped. If a person isn't to hung up on total authenticity for your display figure, then you can obtain a stand from one of the other figures and do a little custom drilling on the bottom of the foot to add it for stability. Funny enough it doesn't even look out of place because all the other figures came with stands.
While I really enjoy the looks of these figures, I have to admit that calling them "action" figures is kind of stretching it. Yes they do have limited articulation. However, it is very limited and doesn't lend itself to a great amount of pose-ability. These are more like collectable statues. They look great in my display case, but can't be used in any kind of diorama. Still if you are a fan of the Original Battlestar Galactica series or maybe a Sci-Fi collector, these figurines have very good likeness to the actors and fantastic paint applications in addition to the great sculpt details overall. It's too bad that the fourth wave didn't make it into production. I've seen some photos of the prototypes and they would have made a great addition to this little collection.
