It turns out this is the first action figure depicting a live action Superman/Clark Kent

Does anyone know the reason for the vest variants on this one or of one is more rare than the other?

I found an alternate release with the regular clamshell packaging. It was only given out via a trivia contest held by Palisades. You can find the figure on eBay.

This was the first Figma I got, but unfortunately it was a bootleg. Thankfully, the person I bought it from was nice enough to let me send it back for a refund.

This figure and Rukia have gotten re-releases, and they're available at GameStop and Target.
