I love animation, anime, and video games, which are a great inspiration for lots of my customs. Transformers have always been a big part of my life so I do a bunch of them as well. Lots of people go indepth with the detail on them but not me I have always loved the animated, fun looking figures!! If anyone has any questions for me please feel free to ask. I think custom making action figures is the best thing u can do. Like when i was younger when i got a figure that was from a movie i would always add more to it cause most toy companies lack on keeping to the precise detail and that is where us customizers come in at!!!! :)

I started customizing as a hobby on 2003. I feel that I need to learn more about this hobby, because I really suck at sculpting, but hey! as they say, "practice makes perfect". Now I could say that I've been around for a while and that I have a lot of customs. My list keeps growing!!!

I've been customizing for about 6 years now, I've done about 90+ most which are displayed here. I really like the Realm cause it truly embraces and encourages us customizers. I've gotten some cool advice and comments from a few of you here so I just wanna say thanx!Also wanna say wuz up 2 Silverclown who got me into collecting figures in the first place and I've known for more years than I care 2 count. As if you couldn't tell, JRS is a collaborative action figure customizing effort of Ryan and Holly (who refers to herself as ivorygleam). Ryan does the hard stuff, like ripping them apart and putting them back together & dremmling - I hate that part! And I forefront all the painting and sculpting - as well as managing the website (or at least trying to).

Love all the 80's cartoons....He-man, Thundercats and GI joe....And of course toys!!!!

I have been creating custom figures for about 14 years now.

Im turing characters from the DC Universe in to Marvel Legends style because the articulation is much better in the Marvel Legends figures then in any of the DC figures.

Use of oil based paint is quite dangerous, as you may mess the figure...I have sometimes.

Great part of my work relies on the weapons, I put a lot of work in the weapons I use on my figs, other main concern of my work is trying to make it accurate, as close to reality as it can be...

im not the best at customizing but I love doing it and have a great time sharing them and seeing other people's customs as well, i also like having my figures pose in cool ways too!

I've always been an artist so customizing is just a combination of my two favorite things, toys and art. It is the perfect way to show a more unique side or art and has let me experiment with different mediums and to get really cool action figures in and out of the process.

I have been customizing for about a year now and live in Canada, I wish to represent the Great White North and put us on the map for the customizing world.

I enjoy making custom figures that aren't necessarily mainstream. Have you ever heard of the "My Dinner With Andre" action figures? It's a gag they had in "Waiting for Guffman." The figures I make are supposed to be fun, and if they give you a chuckle, then they're doing what they're supposed to.

I think that customizing is more than a mere hobby like most people think. Its a thrill and to make the best custom you can make, the inner reward is priceless. I currently love to make drawings for future figures I plan to work on. But I think that the fun part is actually making them. Being an artist I tend to make actual characters my own personal way. Not the way they are supposed to be. But I love to stay true to the original so I get the best references I can get my hands on. Being only 12 years old, that can be hard sometimes to aquire. I truly must thank my Father, Jim, and my Mother, Regina, and my Grandparents and uncle Joe. They all encourage me to do the best work that I can do and buy me the action figures and supplies that I need.

Dr Nightmare is a highly resourceful customizer (which is ironic considering he has very few resources to work with). I like to do customs of female characters, mostly because no matter how you paint them they always look good! I'm looking for 1/12 scale vehicles to customize, mainly I need a 69 Pontiac GTO and a 72 Ford van. See if you can guess why, hah. Apparently cool 1/12 scale vehicles are rare, especially in die-cast metal like I'm looking for, so this is going to be a challenge...and a pain in the wallet...

My name is Punstarr and I've been customizing since 1993. I enjoy using Marvel Legends as my base figures. Back in the day I made dozens of customs, but unfortunately I no longer have most of those anymore as it's been more than 13 years. For the longest time I stopped customizing, until about 4-5 months ago when I discovered this site, which told me this cool hobby was still alive and kicking. Ever since then I've been watching my fellow customizers and with each figure I get better and better. I'm finally coming into my own and I'll be honest; without this community, the hobby wouldn't be anywhere near as fun.

I think that customizing figures is very therapeutic. It's a great way to relieve stress and it gives you a great outlet for your creativity. I've been customizing for a few years now, and I have to say that I'm glad I started. Only thing though, is that it seems like every time I finish a new custom figure, some company (whether it's DC Direct or Mattel, etc.) comes out with it. But, don't let that discourage you. Just keep plugging along, and try and find the most obscure characters out there to make a figure of, because that seems to be the only way to not have to take a figure that you worked on for ages and put it in a box in the back of the closet.

I'm just looking to improve with every custom that I make. I do this just for fun and I love checking out all the great work everyone puts up over here at Figurerealm.
